Brokenhearted on Valentine’s Day: A Poem of Solitude and Sorrow
Another Valentine’s day has come,
But my heart feels so cold and numb.
No roses or chocolates in sight,
No one to hold me close through the night.

I remember the days filled with love,
When laughter and happiness filled the air above.
But now, I’m alone, lost in my pain,
With nothing but memories to keep me sane.

The world around me is filled with love,
Couples walking hand in hand, looking above.
But I’m standing here with a broken heart,
Trying to hide the pain, but it won’t depart.
*****
The sweet melodies of love’s song,
Remind me of what I once had and now is gone.
I wish I could go back to the past,
To relive the moments that I miss so vast.
*****
But now, I’m left with nothing but tears,
As the emptiness inside me never clears.
So I’ll spend this Valentine’s day alone,
Hoping for love to find me and make me whole.
